Rules for a 5-a-side Soccer Tournament with 32 Teams:
1. Group Stage:
- Teams are divided into 8 groups of 4 teams each.
- Each team plays against the other teams in their group once.
- Three points are awarded for a win, and one point for a draw.
- Advancement to Knockout Round:
- The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout round.
2. Group placing Rules:
- If two or more teams have equal points, Head-to-head result is considered first.
- If still tied, goal difference is taken into account.
- If goal difference is also equal, the number of goals scored will be considered.
3. Match Duration:
- Each Match lasts for 20 minutes, played in a best-of-three games format.
- Each game will be played for 10 mts
- To win the match, a team must win two games
- If a team wins the first two sets (2-0 lead), they win the match outright.
- The third game is only played if the first two games end in a 1-1 tie.
4. Draw Resolution:
- In case of a draw after the sets, a penalty kick shootout occurs.
- Each team takes three kicks alternately.
5. Tiebreaker Outcome:
- If the shootout ends in a draw, sudden death rules apply.
- The first scoring team in sudden death wins the match.
- Offside Regulation: The offside rule is not enforced.
6. Drinks Break:
- A 2-minute drinks break is given after each game that concludes within the 10-minute timeframe. No drinks break is provided if the match proceeds to a shootout.
7. Substitutions:
- Each team may have three substitutes.
- Five players are maintained on the field at any given time.
- The rotating substitutes rule applies.
